Sandy Pointers continue to Excel...

In cricket... Under fifteen Leeward Islands middle order batsman, Dilyn Liddie, excelled during the recent U-15 West Indies tournament in Trinidad. He was named MVP for the Leeward Islands. His century against Guyana was the highlight of the tournament.

Leeward Islands beat Guyana by nine wickets at Aranguez Savannah:

GUYANA 177 all out off 46.3 overs (Keon Joseph 42, Harrinarine Chattergoon 40, Shameer Fazal 35; Akeem Charles 5-33, Everett Stephen 3-18, Hayden Walsh 2-20).

LEEWARDS 188-1 off 28.4 overs (Dilyn Liddie 103 not out, Hayden Walsh 51 not out).

Meanwhile in youth athletics ... Kyle Woodley of Sandy Point Primary School is Fastest Under 13 Boys

(Basseterre; St. Kitts): At the Rams Primary School Championship held on Friday, April, 22 held at the Basseterre High School (BHS) Kyle Woodley of the Sandy Point Primary School won the 100m and 200m and ran the anchored leg in both the 4X100 M and 4X400 M races for boys under 13.

The 11 year old Grade 6 student has been dominating in all the events including the long jump competition he has competed in this year from his School Sports Day right through to the finals of the Ram's Primary School.

Even more amazing is that the youth who is not usually into athletics but drumming, when interviewed, says that he has been winning those races in remembrance of his brother Koris Woodley who recently loss his life in a drowning incident in Nevis.
